I am sure some of the women that hear this song will say: "That is my husband!"
And a few men saying: "Yeah that is me. And that is my wife laughing at me."
I have been down with the flu for the past days. The other night I could not sleep for coughing so I sat up in bed and started writing these lyrics on my iPad.
Today where I am getting a little better I put music to it. It is a simple song where the lyrics is the important thing. The rest is guitar, bass, a fiddle, a clavinet, and a little drums. My voice is rusty from my cold. Good I recorded the voice early because now I am starting losing it :-)
I hope you have a good laugh.

Ill As Only A Man Can Be (C) 2011 - Kenneth Lavrsen
I'm weak I cannot lie I feel miserable and old I think I'm gonna die I have an awful cold
My head is full of snot Pouring out like from a spout I'm sneezing a lot And constantly blowing my snout
Oh bring me a pill Have pity on me I'm so very ill As only a man can be
Even though I'm very snotty My wife just laughs at me The fever in my body Is almost one degree
My throat is on fire My nose is burning and red My life is about to expire I'm dying in my bed
Oh bring me a pill Have pity on me I'm so very ill As only a man can be
I'm getting so very sleepy I've given up on all my hopes I'm trying to watch a little TV But all they send are soaps
No appetite for health food Can't get it past my lips I only want my coffee And a bag of potato chips
Oh bring me a pill Have pity on me I'm so very ill As only a man can be
I feel like 97 I have no more will to live Am I on my way to heaven? Is this what life could give?
Oh sweetheart won't you help me My dear I'm begging you Help me with my misery With this terrible flu
Oh bring me a pill Have pity on little me I'm so very ill As only a man can be
