Feature Request: time offset for snapshot and timelapse capture

Description

I have a system on which I am trying to run 4 usb cameras to capture snapshots and timelapse videos - no motion detection. I am trying to capture an image from each camera every minute. As it is, all cameras try to capture an image at xx:xx:00 and I get the "sync error in proc xxxx: No space left on device".

I think that this could be avoided without the need for extra hardware if I could give each camera a small time offset, say 0, 15, 30, and 45 seconds. Camera 1 would then capture images at xx:xx:00, camera 2 at xx:xx:15, and so on.

I believe I saw a similar feature request somewhere, but couldn't find it when I went looking. Sorry if it's a duplicate....

Your request is like implement a round robin feature for webcams ... that's weird , performace will be horrible most of time will be wasted in connect / settle / disconnect . You should fix this issue using the right way , read the above link.
