Feature Request: Mask area generally in output

1st thank you to everybody who is involved in programming and maintaining this excellent software!

It's possible to mask the output by using a PGM file in general so that masked areas are shown as black/grey areas in ALL outputs (pictures, streams)?

For the motion detection itself it's already built in, for the general output it would be helpful to filter out public areas like a corner of a pedestrian walk if it's on the picture. And this would be also helpful to comply legal regulations as they are existing in certain countries (Germany is one of them).
