Image corruption problem
Question
Hi again !
I now have motion running successfully, generating periodic and motion-triggered images from my Logitech
QuickCam Pro 5000.
However, a large number of the images are corrupted. By this I mean blocks of the images have been rearranged, like a sliding block puzzle ! I will try and attach a couple if I can work out how.
This happens on images generated periodically, and as a result of motion detection.
Today I downloaded the latest SVN version (revision 152) and built it, but the problem still exists.
This is a major problem for me now.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Lee Wild

I would like to suggest reading the following Support Question:

I am not sure if it will help, but, give it a try.

Hi
I traced my problem down to cabling. It was due to one of the following:
1) The USB extension lead I was using, had a piece of plastic debris inside, preventing it from mating fully. I cleaned this out so it connected properly.
2) I was connecting via USB ports at the front of my PC. These connect inside the PC using unscreened, untwisted cables, possibly these were picking up noise.
Anyway, I fixed the cable AND moved to the rear panel (built in to motherboard) USB connector, and never had a problem since.
