MSI Starcam Clip II problem

Question

For security purposes we've installed 2 webcams in our datacenter server rack, in combination with motion, to monitor our rack. One webcam works just fine (phillips webcam), but the other one (MSI Starcam Clip II) is giving problems. As you can see on http://195.207.18.19:8081/ the Phillips webcam works fine, but the MSI webcam is giving nothing more but this: http://195.207.18.19:8082/

I've tried working out a solution but can't seem to find the exact problem. The error is posted below.

[2] Retrying until successful connection with camera
[2] cap.driver: "uvcvideo"
[2] cap.card: "USB 2.0 Camera"
[2] cap.bus_info: "0000:00:1f.2"
[2] cap.capabilities=0x04000001
[2] - VIDEO_CAPTURE

[2] Error selecting input 0
[2] VIDIOC_S_INPUT: Device or resource busy
[2] ioctl(VIDIOCGMBUF) - Error device does not support memory map
[2] V4L capturing using read is deprecated!
[2] Motion only supports mmap.

Environment

Motion version: 3.2.10.1
ffmpeg version: 0.4.8
Libraries: xmlrpc, ffmpeg, mysql
Server OS: Ubuntu Server 8.04 (kernel 2.6.22-14)

Follow Up

Please attach your config files. But first did you test run motion only with MSI Starcam Clip II ?

Also check that it's well supported by uvcvideo ( probably you need a svn version driver ) :

Answer

No feedback. Reopen if still problem remains with latest version.
