smart_mask_speed silently kills motion
Question
This has been resolved. The config file seems to need daemon on even if started from init.d. Sorry H
I am trying to run motion with smart_mask_speed 5 set. I start it with /etc/init.d/motion restart but after a while (minutes - 1/2 hour) the process silently disappears without any mail or other message. I havent been able to see any red pixels either. If I run motion without smart_mask_speed it works excellently but - depending on weather - gives far to many events and conditions are such that mask_file is a poor option. What can I do? Any suggestions for an otherwise superb program are appreciated.
Thanks in advance and congratulation to a great piece of software.
Ps process_id_file doesn't work either.
