Streaming server

Question

Hello! I'm developing a web application for video surveillance with php, which uses motion for motion detection. I have thought of using ffserver to send the live streaming to client browsers. I need to get the frames from each camera and encode using ffmpeg. How can I save the jpg frames that motion get from cameras (eg 5 fps)? And to be encoded with ffmpeg, I need to save the frames serially numbered 1,2,3 .... n
