Loss of remote control.

Question

Nothing has changed ( unless ubuntu did a update in the background of samba or html server; or motion did an update) but now i can use firefox or lwp-request locally but not via external machines. i have no remote control access. Firefox says the connection was reset. Chrome says no data returned. Did the web process get blocked? vids still viewable remotely but no control.
