motion prevents the use of second camera by other apps

Question

I have two webcams: /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 /dev/video1 is configured to be used with motion

/dev/video1 is supposed to be used by another app (uvccapture). But this program cannot use the device until i kill motion.

So it seems as Motion locks all video devices, even though not configured to do so. Thread files are commented out! Please help-
