Increase motion detection speed

Question

Hello,

I am using motion on a linux POS reader where requires to detect a motion as fast as possible, the current speed varies and sometime a little longer than desired.

How do I make motion to detect a motion faster? I have played with "threshold", "noise_level", but not good enough. I am thinking the mechanism motion uses to detect first motion, the interval of monitoring motion or similar to further push the limit.

motion works great, just need faster motion detection speed.
