Command Of motion

Question

Hello In order to make my own video surveillance system i would want to use motion with a raspberry py and an external infrared sensor. I've already find how to disable the motion detection but now i would know if there is any simple command to just take a picture. It will permit me to use motion with an external sensor. Sorry for my bad english Thanks for answer
