Motion - Support Question 2014x 01x 11x 145624

Two Questions about Motion on Raspberry Pi (x.264 and FFMPEG)

Question

Does the official version of Motion support Raspberry PI yet or do I still need to follow the manual installation by downloading code and moving directories etc.?

Also, I see that Motion for Rapsberry Pi installs it's own version of FFMPEG. Is it possible to add x.264 encoding to this version? If not, can I install another copy of FFMPEG that supports x.264 that won't conflict with Motion's FFMPEG?
Paste in your error messages, config settings, terminal window output etc in this text field.

Environment

Motion version: 3.2.12
ffmpeg version: Version installed by Motion on Pi
Libraries: ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS: Raspberry Pi
