ioctl (VIDIOCGCAP): Invalid argument

Question

I installed motion on asuswrt router through optware but when I start with "motion -n" I get this error [1] ioctl (VIDIOCGCAP): Invalid argument

Motion version: 3.2.12
ffmpeg version: ffmpeg LIBAVCODEC_BUILD 3356160 LIBAVFORMAT_BUILD 3411200
Libraries: ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS: optware

Answer

This error comes from V4L driver. Can you provide more details about the system? Kernel version, dmesg etc
