BUG: wrong resize size get green screen

when i changed height 288, width 352 to height 360, width 440 (*1.25)

i get a green screen in webcam server i'm using round robin (4 threads--> channel: 0,1,2,3)

in some cases then server shows sync error input/output error

Card: BT878 video ( * UNKNOWN/GENER (/dev/v4l/video0) Capabilities: 171 (capture tuner overlay clipping scales ) Size: (48x32)-(768x480)

Follow up

Motion sends the width and height to the device as you specify. It does not control weather these dimentions are valid.

Normally the devices cannot accept any width and height. There is a series of valid sizes.

It is the device driver that fails because you set dimentions that are not valid.

I believe this is reasonable behavour from Motion. I do not see that Motion should need extra code to guess dimentions or handle the situation any better than the device driver does.
