BUG: Problem with webcam, based on the sn9c102 chip
While trying to run Motion on Genius
VideoCam NB (sn9c102 chip) Motion suddenly quits rigth after start.
The same Genius
VideoCam NB works well with Sonic-snap, sn9c102 webcam application for linux (
http://www.stolk.org/sonic-snap/) but Motion is more powerful software so I think to use it instead of Sonic-snap.
Why so happens?
Here is a text of my terminal when I run Motion in Setup mode.
[root@localhost motion-3.2.7]# motion

Follow up
What kernel driver are you using with this camera ? ( version , modprobe / insmod parameters , dmesg , etc ... )
Anyway seems to me that the driver you are using is only v4l2 compatible and motion still doesn't work with v4l2, the integration is in progress ...
