BUG: motion dies in webcam.c:webcam_add_write:233
Motion dies after an indeterminate time with sig 11.
configured:
one Logitech Orbit, tracking , webaccess from local and remote hosts
webinterace and streaminginterface work
but were not used in the killing runs.
anybody have similar probs

core file examined with gdb, stack seems trashed, no backtrace possible:
Core was generated by `motion -c /etc/motion/motion.conf'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

Could you try to reproduce that problem with svn -r147 ?
mkdir motion
cd motion
svn co http://www.lavrsen.dk/svn/motion/trunk . -r147
./configure ; make
btw what device/s are you using ? ( motion.conf will help as well )

Follow up
I'l try that in a couple of days, currently the system is down
with no memory ( bought a 2GB kit with one defective )

only one Logitech Orbit ID 046d:08b5 Logitech, Inc.
i'l post the conf file when I've had my try with the svn version.
