BUG: image scrambled, videosyncs inside active picture?

My images are scrambled(99 procent of them), sometimes a normal picture is captured when detecting motion. . Webcam is a PS3 eye camera, tested with mplayer through v4l2ucp, which looks OK. Could this be the result of a bad config? Resolution in config is 640x480, input palette YUYV (got this from v4l2ucp)

Got same result from debian lenny running on arm processor, as on Ubuntu 9.04 on intel processor

Shared libraries:	ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS:	Ubuntu 9.04 and also on Debian Lenny on arm
