Motion Release 3.2.5 ( - Release Notes

Motion release 3.2.5 ( - 07 Mar 2005

Summary of changes since 3.2.4

ALERT! is the exact same code as 3.2.5 but with manpage and Motion Guide updated to include the important change: ffmpeg_filename option has changed name to movie_filename.

  • ffmpeg_filename has changed name to movie_filename to prepare for alternative movie encoding to the current ffmpeg based implementation and ffmpeg_filename will then be a bad name (Kenneth Lavrsen)
  • Added Tilt support to stepper track. (Angel Carpintero)

Known Problems

  • See the for open bugs.
  • The pwc-ioctl.h is for pwc version 9.0.1, 10.0.X. If you still use the pwc 8 series then you need to use the headerfile pwc-ioctl.h-pwc8.0 (copy the pwc-ioctl.h-pwc8.0 over pwc-ioctl.h). This is relevant for USB cameras using Philips chips.

GPG Signature

Bug Reports

A comment:

It could be me that is blind, but i can't see where the config keyword ffmpwg_filename has changed to movie_filename and missing that change gave me some trouble i must say. :/

Thanks TheOtherBug. My face turned red when I read your message. I had forgotten to add it both to change log, man page and motion guide.

I have been busy all night and made a quick panel Thanks for reporting the bug.

Yeah i could see you have been busy those days and i found out of the change by looking in the the motion-dist.conf.

I think you might want to make a minor correction on top of the SnapShot page too ?
